How do I Sign Up for a Tournament?
- Go to the Arena page and click on 'Tournaments' on the right side. Tournaments are divided into level ranges. Each Tournament is titled with both a name and the level range that is eligible to participate.
- If a Tournament is registering for your particular level range, click on the name of the Tournament.
- To sign up for the Tournament, click the 'Register' button in the top right corner of the Tournaments frame.
Is there a fee to play in a Tournament?
Most Tournaments have a Registration fee. Please make sure you can pay the fee that is associated with that particular Tournament before you try to register.
What happens when I Sign Up for a Tournament?
- The Tournament does not start until it is full (Rolling) or until the start time is reached (Scheduled).
- Once you are registered, you can continue to challenge others and accept challenges. However, your XP becomes Frozen and turn blue, meaning it will not show any changes until the Tournament has ended. This is to prevent you from leveling up and potentially un-qualifying yourself from the Tournament. All earned XP points will be added as soon as the Tournament is over.
How do I Unregister from a Tournament?
If you decide not to play in the Tournament after you have registered, simply click the 'Unregister' button that has now replaced the 'Register' button in the top right corner, and your XP will become unfrozen.
What happens when a Tournament starts?
Each person is paired off in a bracket-style system. A challenge will automatically be issued to both players at the same time and each will individually respond.
How do I respond to a Tournament Challenge?
Either duelist in a Tournament challenge can accept the challenge or forfeit by not responding. Each duelist has a specified amount of time to respond (normally five minutes). If one player does not respond by the end of the allotted time and automatically forfeits, the other duelist who has responded will automatically move on to the next round.
How do I view information for individual Tournament Matches?
To view information for specific matches, click on the crossed swords icon between each dueling pair. The match will be shown in the same format as a Challenge, broken down by turns.
How can I learn more about my opponents?
To learn more about the players in the Tournament, you have two options. You can either hold your cursor over their name, which will bring up their basic stats (Level, Record, and XP), or you can click on their name, which will take you to their Avatar's profile.
How does the Tournament end?
After each round, the advancing winners duel each other until two players are left. These two will duel each other to capture the entire Tournament win. At the end of the Tournament, one person is declared the winner. Once the Tournament has been completed, your XP will become unfrozen and any additional XP that you acquired while the Tournament was in play will be added.
When can I play in a Tournament?
You can play in any Tournament at any time, as long as you belong in that particular level range and can pay the Registration fee.
What Rewards are given for Tournaments?
The top winners of a given Tournament (such as First, Second, and Third place) will receive an allotted prize which will be specified on the Registration page for that Tournament. Also, Tournament Badges will be given according to how far you get in the Tournaments, and how many Tournaments you win.
